Charging a host service fee allows us to do many things...

  • It allows Untrodden to exist. Untrodden is a collection of incredible people, passionate about travel and turning it into a force for good in the world. Our host service fee is used to pay the Untrodden employees, allowing us to provide great customer service and operate and improve the platform
  • It allows us to make conservation investments. Using the host service fee, we fund environmental non-profits, as well as local causes. If you have a specific non-profit that benefits the local community or region that you as a host work with, let us know!
  • It allows us to fund "community stewardship councils" in the regions we service. These councils (made up of local leaders and community members) establish visitory carrying capacity to their regions, and are continually determining how to make Untrodden tourism a more beneficial force in their community. Let us know if this interests you, and we can discuss its implementation
  • Lastly, it allows us to grow the Untrodden ecosystem through marketing and partnership efforts, ensuring that your experiences get in front of the people that would be most excited by them. At the end of the day, we only charge a fee when we create bookings for you!

If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to reach out to [email protected] We would be happy to discuss our partnership model further.
